Materia Viva is an independent publication dedicated to the sensory, symbolic and cultural life of aromatic raw materials — resins, woods, roots, flowers, essences, balsams, seeds, plants.
Each issue follows a single material: tracing its origin, its geography, its history, the hands that gathered it, the traditions that shaped it. The writing moves between botany, cultural research and sensory observation. Part of the work exists as digital text; part becomes fine art print.
Materia Viva is not a catalogue, not a manual. It is an act of sustained attention toward matter that grows, is harvested, distilled, and transformed.
