the new val tramontina herbal tea

infuso della val tramontina pordenone

In August 2023, the ‘Prototype 1’ infusion was born. It is the result of the synergy of three female professionals and entrepreneurs, who have found a point of contact in their love of nature and sensuality, so much so that they started a collaboration project.

Mariangela Avon, owner of ‘I Fiori di Mari’, decided to dedicate herself to edible flowers, following a call for nature and her land. “For me, Val Tramontina has something unique, it is an unspoilt world,” says Mari, who has her own farmland in this valley where she was born.

Mari met Patrizia Orlando following a suggestion of a friend. Patrizia, owner of Tea Time in Piazza Benco, opened her shop following her passion for tea, infusions and spices. She became a tea sommelier and through her work she has made known the qualities of tea and its many nuances in Trieste and Friuli Venezia-Giulia. When Mariangela proposed her flowers, she could not help but taste them to understand their quality and potential.

Thinking about who she could deal with in this sensory research, she chose Elena Cobez, an aromatherapist and sensorialist in the wine industry.
Elena works with companies and start-ups to create cosmetic and food products containing botanical raw materials. When she tasted Mari’s flowers and plants, she was fascinated, so much so that together with Patrizia and Mariangela, she created the infusion ‘Prototype 1’: the name indicates that the collaborative project of the three businesswomen is a work in progress in which creativity, sensoriality and love for the earth are fundamental points of reference.
